Arsenal Can Beat Chelsea - Free £20 Bet

By Paddy Power
Friday, 5th February 2010
Arsenal will be looking to repeat the feat of last season and win at Stamford Bridge. With all the press attention on Chelsea at the moment it could this be the ideal time for Arsenal to play them and capitalize on any distractions Chelsea have.

Paddy Power have Arsenal as big as 4/1 to win at Chelsea and the draw is a 5/2 chance. Some say this is last chance saloon for The Gunners so everyone will be expecting Arsenal to go for the win.

3/4        Chelsea Win
5/2        Draw
4/1        Arsenal Win

The Gunners won 2-1 at Stamford Bridge last season in fact that was the last time Chelsea lost at home. A repeat scoreline this Sunday would bring Arsenal back into the mix again and have Manchester United celebrating too. Another 2-1 to the Arsenal is 12/1 or you can have 11/1 on the famous 1-0 to the Arsenal scoreline.

Correct Score Betting
10/1      Arsenal 1-0
25/1      Arsenal 2-0
11/1      Arsenal 2-1
80/1      Arsenal 3-0
40/1      Arsenal 3-1

One criticism of Chelsea is their lack of pace and should Arsenal get the ball and be able to break at pace gaps will appear in the Chelsea back line. The form of Cesc Fabregas will have punters backing him at 9/1 to open the scoring, a special in the match is him to score at anytime and get booked at 14/1. Arsenal need to be careful when they go forward and not get caught on the break themselves. It’s going to be a more physical game that Arsenal will need to try and pass their way out of.

Is Nicolas Bendtner the answer? Time will tell but the expectations on the young Dane have never been higher in the absence of Robin Van Persie. Bendtner’s height will certainly give Arsenal another dimension and he should be used as a target man to hold up the ball for the on coming Arsenal players. A goal would fill him with confidence, he’s a 9/1 chance for the first or 16/5 to score at anytime.

First Goalscorer Betting
8/1        Arshavin
9/1        Bendtner
9/1        Fabregas
12/1      Walcott
12/1      Rosicky
12/1      Nasri
14/1      Diaby
20/1      Vermaelen
